<p id=”par-1_12″><em>Buffy </em>and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/gossip-girl/”><em>Gossip Girl</em></a><em> </em>star <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/joss-whedon-not-allowed-alone-michelle-trachtenberg-buffy-the-vampire-slayer-set-actor-said.html/”>Michelle Trachtenberg</a> has died at age 39. </p>
<p id=”par-2_64″>Trachtenberg was found deceased in her apartment near New York City’s Columbus Circle on Wednesday morning by her mother, <a href=”https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Culture/buffy-gossip-girl-actress-michelle-trachtenberg-dead-39/story?id=119215091″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>ABC News</a> reports. Police sources said foul play was not suspected and the cause appeared to be natural. Trachtenberg had recently received a liver transplant and may have experienced complications from that procedure. An autopsy will be performed to determine the manner of death. </p>

Her career began in the 1990s with roles on the Nickelodeon series <em>The Adventures of Pete and Pete </em>and the soap <em>All My Children. </em>She gained fame for playing Buffy’s younger sister Dawn Summers on the cult favorite TV series <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/buffy-the-vampire-slayer-actor-james-marsters-wrote-a-song-about-a-teenage-michelle-trachtenberg-fans-find-creepy.html/”><em>Buffy the Vampire Slayer</em></a><em> </em>from 2000 to 2003<em>. </em>She also portrayed Georgina Sparks on <em>Gossip Girl</em> and reprised the role in the 2023 reboot. Trachtenberg also starred in movies like <em>Mysterious Skin, Euro Trip, Harriet the Spy, </em>and <em>Ice Princess. </em>More recently, she hosted the 2021 true crime series <em>Meet, Marry, Murder. </em></p>
