<p id=”par-1_20″>More than a month after confessing to cheating on his wife, Travis Clark says he’s fighting to save his marriage. </p>
<p id=”par-2_18″>In late January, Travis publicly announced he’d been unfaithful to his wife, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/bringin-up-bates-update-bates-family-i2023.html/”><em>Bringing Up Bates</em></a><em> </em>star Katie Bates. </p>
<p id=”par-3_39″>“This is hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife. I had an affair and repeatedly broke her trust,” Travis, 24, wrote in a January 18 Instagram post.</p>
<p id=”par-4_36″>Since the bombshell announcement – which came one day after his wife revealed she’d just <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/reality-tv/katie-bates-announces-a-pregnancy-loss-as-her-husband-publicly-confesses-to-an-affair.html/”>experienced a miscarriage</a> – Katie, 25, has revealed that she’s entered intensive therapy. Meanwhile, Travis says he’s trying to make amends. </p>

<p id=”par-5_48″>“I’ve been sitting in what I did for a couple months now, and I feel so much inside but it’s hard to find the right words,” he wrote in the March 4 <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DVeb3FVkvEJ/?hl=en” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Instagram</a> post, which also featured a collage of photos of Katie, Travis, and their two children. </p>
<p id=”par-6_68″>“At the end of last year I made decisions I deeply regret,” he continued. “I’m disappointed, ashamed, and honestly disgusted with myself. The last couple months have been humbling. A lot of hard work, therapy, time with God… I know I’m not owed anything, but I am desperately fighting for my wife and my family every single day. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for our family.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_36″>Meanwhile, Katie has not indicated whether she plans to stay married to Travis or leave the relationship. In a recent post on her Instagram Story (via <a href=”https://people.com/katie-bates-entering-intensive-therapy-5-weeks-after-her-husband-revealed-he-cheated-on-her-11912096″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a>), she said she was still processing her husband’s betrayal. </p>
<p id=”par-8_51″>“This year didn’t start how I thought it would. It’s been really heavy and emotional in ways I wasn’t prepared for. Some days I feel okay and steady. And other days it’s hard to even leave the house,” she wrote. “I’m just trying to take it one day at a time.”</p>
