Fans of the couple have been watching to see how their three children might capture their star power. Their oldest child, Blue Ivy Carter, is already making a name for herself in the entertainment business. However, Sir Carter’s future might look different. Here’s what Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, said about Sir being “very quiet.”

Fans of Beyoncé and Jay-Z anticipate seeing their children in the limelight. The couple has three kids: Blue Ivy Carter, 13, and twins Rumi and Sir Carter, 7. Beyoncé and Jay-Z brought Blue Ivy and Rumi to Super Bowl LIX, which delighted the crowd to see how the siblings looked alike. However, Sir was notably missing.

In May 2024, Tina Knowles gave insight into the twins’ differences. “Rumi is amazing — an amazing artist, painter, and creator,” Knowles told <a href=”https://www.eonline.com/news/1400912/tina-knowles-shares-rare-update-on-beyonce-and-jay-zs-twins-rumi-and-sir” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>E! News. “How could they be anything else growing up in that environment? All we talk about is creativity and fashion.”

As for Sir, she noted that he’s “very, very smart,” though not nearly as into fashion as his sisters. Knowles noted that he “does all of the numbers stuff” and is “very quiet.”

In another interview with <a href=”https://www.eonline.com/news/1406281/beyonces-mom-tina-knowles-gives-rare-details-on-twins-rumi-and-sir” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>E! News, Knowles noted, “Sir is more into books and electronics” than his siblings. However, she called all of the kids “artists.”

In interviews, Knowles often notes how Rumi and Blue Ivy seem to want the spotlight more than Sir. “Rumi is a natural little star,” she told E! News in August 2024. As for Blue Ivy, she said her granddaughter has “an artistic soul.”

Beyoncé certainly knows her younger daughter is meant for showbusiness like Blue Ivy. She featured Rumi on the song “Protector” on her award-winning Cowboy Carter album.

Beyoncé spoke of her difficult pregnancy with twins Rumi and Sir Carter.
“I was 218 pounds the day I gave birth,” she said. “I had high blood pressure; I developed toxemia, preeclampsia, and in the womb, one of my babies’ heartbeats paused a few times, so I had to get an emergency C-section.”

Beyoncé gave additional details of her C-section experience to <a href=”https://www.vogue.com/article/beyonce-september-issue-2018″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vogue in 2018. “Today, I have a connection to any parent who has been through such an experience,” she continued. “After the C-section, my core felt different. It had been major surgery. Some of your organs are shifted temporarily, and in rare cases, removed temporarily during delivery. I am not sure everyone understands that. I needed time to heal, to recover.”
