With the Fourth of July behind us, TV viewers are now settling in to enjoy a variety of new shows and returning summer favorites; they’ll have to make do with one less series, though. <em><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/bachelor-in-paradise-golden-ladies-out-gary-levingston-as-a-player.html/”>Bachelor in Paradise </a></em>will not air in 2026, leaving fans starved for the kind of drama only Bachelor Nation can deliver. The series will eventually return to air. This is what we know so far.</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-bachelor-in-paradise-will-be-returning-but-not-right-now”>‘Bachelor in Paradise’ will be returning, but not right now</h2>
<p id=”par-2_41″>Bachelor Nation might be feeling a bit blue right now. There are no major shows on the horizon, but that feeling won’t last forever. <em>Bachelor in Paradise </em>is officially returning for an eleventh season. ABC confirmed the renewal in April 2026.</p>

<p id=”par-3_73″>Disney’s head of unscripted programming, Rob Mills, announced that the spinoff would return the summer after The Bachelor’s milestone Season 30. While that’s good news, there is some bad news attached to it. The wait is going to be very long. Season 11 is set to premiere in summer 2027, meaning Jesse Palmer and a host of <em>The Bachelor </em>and <em>The Bachelorette</em> cast-offs won’t be dipping their toes in the sand this year.</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-why-the-wait”>Why the Wait?</h2>
<p id=”par-4_80″>The gap ties directly to how ABC is reorganizing its approach to its schedule; a lot is changing for the Bachelor Nation shows that some fans say have grown stale after so many years.<em> The Bachelor </em>Season 30 is being positioned as a major event for the franchise. <em>Bachelor in Paradise</em> will follow behind it that summer. Mills has framed the timing as part of a broader effort to bring “thoughtfulness and care” back to the franchise after multiple scandals.</p>
<p id=”par-5_58″>Casting for BIP Season 11 hasn’t been announced, though past contestants from both <em>The Bachelor</em> and <em>The Bachelorette</em> are expected to be eligible. It could even include participants from Taylor Frankie Paul’s yet-to-air season. Rumor has it that the season <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/will-taylor-frankie-pauls-the-bachelorette-season-air-abc-eyes-a-july-premiere.html/”>will finally make it to ABC this summer</a>, though the network has not made an official announcement yet.</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-how-season-10-ended-and-where-the-couples-stand-now”>How Season 10 Ended and Where the Couples Stand Now</h2>
<p id=”par-6_58″><a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/bachelor-in-paradise-wells-adams-says-will-miss-sarah-hyland-takes-off-film.html/”>Season 10 wrapped </a>in September 2025. After a one-summer hiatus, the series returned with a couple of twists. First, the show folded in contestants from <em>The Golden Bachelo</em>r and <em>Golden Bachelorette</em> alongside the usual Bachelor/Bachelorette alumni. While crossover romance was not against the rules, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/these-golden-contestants-are-ready-for-bachelor-in-paradise.html/”>the goldens </a>served more as mentors to the younger cast members than anything else.</p>

<p id=”par-7_100″>The series also introduced a controversial cash prize for the first time. Five couples made it to the finale. Spencer Conley proposed to Jess Edwards on the beach, and the two chose love over a $250,000 payout, walking away engaged with $190,000 instead. Alexe Godin and Andrew Spencer likewise chose their relationship over the money, collecting $125,000. Jeremy Simon and Bailey Brown, and Dale Moss and Kat Izzo, were both eliminated before the final rose ceremony but left as couples. Kathy Swarts and Keith Gordon, the season’s Golden Bachelor representatives, made the finale, but were only ever competing as friends.</p>
<p id=”par-8_63″>A year later, the results are mixed but largely positive by Bachelor Nation standards. Jess and Spencer remain engaged. She moved to Dallas to live with Spencer. Andrew and Alexe are also still together, though not engaged. Alexe moved to Chicago to take their relationship to the next step. Jeremy and Bailey are still dating, though they are among the most controversial pairings.</p>

<p id=”par-9_43″>Dale and Kat split shortly after the end of the show, and Keith and Kathy headed back to their normal lives, unattached. Considering how well Bachelor Nation relationships traditionally go, three out of five final couples remaining together is an exceptionally good showing.</p>
