<p id=”par-1_46″>Brothers Stefon Diggs and Trevon Diggs are both <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-athletes/”>superstars</a> in the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/nfl/”>NFL</a>. Stefon, who currently plays for the Houston Texans, is one of <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/sports/”>the league</a>‘s premiere wideouts. And Trevon, who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys, is one of the anchors of that team’s defense. </p>
<p id=”par-2_58″>Successful siblings playing on different teams isn’t uncommon in the NFL. Of course, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning played under center for different teams, the Bosa brothers play in different defensive systems as did the Watt brothers and like the Diggs siblings, Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce played different positions on opposite sides of the ball. </p>
<p id=”par-3_45″>But it’s the Diggs brothers’ last name that leaves fans with one question as many want to know if and how they are related to<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/actors/”> actor</a> Taye Diggs. Here’s the answer to that, plus a few other things you didn’t know about the Diggs trio.</p>

<p id=”par-4_18″>Stefon was born on Nov. 29, 1993, and Trevon was born on Sept. 20, 1998, in Gaithersburg, Maryland. </p>
<p id=”par-5_66″>In 2008, their father died of congestive heart failure in a hospital while on the waiting list for a heart transplant. Stefon was only 14 at the time but knew he had to step up, be the man of the house, and most importantly set a good example for Trevon. And when it came time to choose a college to attend, Stefon picked Maryland because it was close to home. </p>
<p id=”par-6_31″>He told <a href=”https://www.gq.com/story/can-anybody-stop-stefon-diggs” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>GQ</a>: “I wanted to be close to him. And also because my mom was doing it all by herself. I wanted to be that father figure for my little brother.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_35″>In September 2023, Trevon tore his ACL during 1-on-1 drills and missed the rest of the season. In October 2024, Stefon tore his ACL in a non-contact injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the season.</p>

<p id=”par-9_27″>Taye was born on Jan. 2, 1971, in Newark New Jersey, and raised in Rochester, New York. Taye has four siblings named Gabriel, Michael, Shalom, and Christian.</p>
<p id=”par-10_49″>Taye recently revealed that his sister, Christian, was diagnosed with schizophrenia when she was in her 20s. According to the <a href=”https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/schizophrenia/symptoms-causes/syc-20354443#:~:text=Schizophrenia%20is%20a%20serious%20mental,aren’t%20observed%20by%20others.” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Mayo Clinic</a>, schizophrenia is a “mental health condition that affects how people think, feel, and behave. It may result in a mix of hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking and behavior.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_66″>Taye told <a href=”https://people.com/taye-diggs-reveals-his-sister-s-schizophrenia-diagnosis-exclusive-8651610″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a> that before Christian’s diagnosis he “didn’t know anything about it. Like most people, the only reference I had was what was portrayed on television and a whole bunch of stereotypes. It’s really easy to just make a judgment. It’s so easy to just kind of put people in a certain box. I feel silly because I thought it was so black and white.”</p>
