<p id=”par-2_46″>Jenelle Evans and David Eason have had one of the most troubled relationships in <em>Teen Mom </em>history. The pair met shortly after Evans ended yet another relationship. Against all odds, they managed to get married in 2017 and moved onto a property they dubbed “the land.”</p>

Multiple 911 calls,<a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-says-cheating-was-the-final-straw-in-her-relationship-with-david-eason.html/”> allegations of cheating</a>, child abuse, domestic violence, animal abuse, and more than one breakup marred their history. In February 2024, Evans shocked followers when she filed for legal separation from Eason, claiming he had left their marital home weeks earlier. The move allowed her to regain custody of her teenage son.</p>

In North Carolina, couples must prove they have been separated for 12 months before filing for an absolute divorce. Legal separation begins when the couple no longer lives in the same space.</p>

<p id=”par-5_73″>Evans filed for a legal separation on Feb. 23, 2024, but she has yet to file for an absolute divorce. At the very least, it doesn’t appear that a divorce has been granted yet. According to <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/entertainment/13409511/teen-mom-jenelle-evans-david-eason-divorce-dismissed/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>the U.S. Sun</a>, a North Carolina judge dismissed Evans’ <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/jenelle-evans-explains-david-eason-not-allowed-back-land.html/”>divorce from bed and board </a>case in August 2024, but additional paperwork has yet to be made public. The former flames are reportedly still working through child custody issues.</p>

In May, Evans moved from North Carolina to Nevada to be closer to her manager-turned-boyfriend, August Keen. The relationship ended in January.
