However, before Bennifer 2.0, Affleck was dating his <em>Deep Water </em>co-star Ana de Armas to much lesser noise. The rumor mill asserted that Affleck’s break-up with de Armas’ was also less dramatic than his divorce from Lopez. Still, if sources are to be believed, it might seem de Armas had some lingering nerves when it came to her ex. So much so that she allegedly freaked out at the thought of promoting her movie with the <em>Good Will Hunting </em>actor.</p>

After <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/how-did-ana-de-armas-and-ben-affleck-meet.html/”>their fateful meeting</a> on the set of the movie <em>Deep Water</em>, it seemed that the two couldn’t get enough of each other. They were spotted together long after their time in <em>Deep Water </em>had ended. Several sources at the time further corroborated the speculation that the two were dating.</p>
<p id=”par-3_13″>“They had great chemistry right from the start,” an insider reported to <a href=”https://people.com/movies/ben-affleck-and-ana-de-armas-had-great-chemistry-from-the-start-while-filming-movie-together/”>People</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-4_22″>Another alleged source also gave a little insight into what an average date between de Armas and Affleck looked like back then.</p>
<p id=”par-5_35″><a></a> “Ana was his tour guide and took him to all her favorite places. Ben seemed to love the trip. He was in a great mood and very friendly,” they said. “They are definitely dating.”</p>
<p id=”par-6_16″>But their relationship ended as quietly as it started after ten months of seeing each other.</p>
<p id=”par-7_55″>Both stars would eventually move on. But perhaps they didn’t move on from each other enough. De Armas was reportedly as aware as the rest of the world was that Affleck had gotten back with Lopez. But she and the Oscar-winner were expected to face each other again because of their film <em>Deep Water</em>. </p>

<p id=”par-8_63″>Although the movie was filmed in 2020, the pandemic significantly delayed its release. <em>Deep Water </em>wouldn’t hit streaming until 2022, which meant Affleck and de Armas would have to promote the film together months after their breakup. Affleck being deep in his relationship with Lopez at the time only further complicated the situation. Insiders claimed it was a nightmare scenario for de Armas.</p>
<p id=”par-9_11″>“It really stuck in Ana’s craw,” the insider claimed to <a href=”https://okmagazine.com/p/ben-affleck-ana-de-armas-relieved-deep-water-pulled/”>Ok!</a>.</p>
<p id=”par-10_15″>“They play a married couple, so would probably face questions about their relationship,” they added.</p>
<p id=”par-11_28″>However, <em>Deep Water </em>went straight to streaming on Hulu instead of going to theater. This meant de Armas and Affleck were spared any awkward interactions with each other.</p>
<p id=”par-12_26″>“They won’t have to hobnob on the red carpet or worry about bringing their current partners with them,” the insider said much to the stars’ relief.</p>

It turned out that Affleck’s level of fame might’ve been too much for the <em>Ballerina </em>star to handle.</p>

However, marriage wasn’t a priority for the <em>Gone Girl </em>star. If there’s any truth to the rumors, it would seem Affleck is close to falling into a familiar pattern of pursuing an ex. But only time will tell if he’ll act on these alleged emotions the way he did with Lopez.</p>
