Inside the pages of the innocuous-looking album is a handwritten note from Jennifer Aniston. It was penned as they wrapped the series. In it, she wrote about how she would have a difficult time coping without him in her day-to-day life. She went on to recall the fears that consumed her over his addiction issues, and the gratitude she felt toward him for his decision to keep fighting and living.</p>

<p id=”par-5_115″>In a more recent appearance, she spoke about her last interactions with him, just hours before his death. She told <a href=”https://au.variety.com/2026/tv/news/matthew-perry-auction-friends-scripts-36244/”>Variety</a> he was happy and healthy and didn’t seem to be in pain. From what she could tell, he said, he seemed to be doing well. In a conversation with Vanity Fair, however, she touched on the complexities of the cast’s relationship with Perry and the fear of his potential death that followed them. In an introspective moment, Aniston said she took solace in the fact that, at least in death, he was no longer suffering. Still, she has insisted that it saddens her that he never found the peace in life that he deserved.</p>
