“You’ve got to celebrate those moments where you are just on the floor rolling around in hysterics,” Harry continued. “Inevitably, half an hour later, maybe a day later, there’s going to be something that you have to deal with, and there’s no way you can run away from it.”

While this isn’t technically a quote from Harry about being a dad, this one is about being a godfather. Specifically, what the now-39-year-old told <a href=”http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/04/16/prince-harry-sought-counselling-death-mother-led-two-years-total/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Telegraph in 2017 about getting parenting practice by being godfather to “quite a few” children.

“I, of course, I would love to have kids,” Harry told the publication, noting he’s had practice as a godfather. “I’m a godfather to quite a few of my friends’ [kids]. Actually, only five or six. I’d like to think [I am a good godfather].”

Now for the “key” to doing it well. “I think the key to that is to grow up but also to be able to stay in touch with your childhood side,” Harry said.

“If that means going to someone’s house and sitting there and playing PlayStation and kicking the a** of their son or whatever it is, then I’ll try and do that. I’ve actually had a lot of practice for that.”

So, godfather, godmother, or parent, try to “stay in touch with your childhood side.”
