President Trump’s senior counselor for trade and manufacturing Peter Navarro, who served four months in prison for not complying with a congressional subpoena related to the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, is piling on criticism of Trump’s U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia, Jeanine Pirro.
[NOTE: After Pirro dropped charges against former U.S. Olympian David Hearn, whom both she and the President accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool by ripping the newly installed lining, Trump said he was “disappointed” with Pirro, saying she “choked” and “folded like an umbrella.” Pirro’s motion asserted the damage was the result of “flawed installation by the contractor and the rush to complete the project prior to events associated with the America 250 celebration.”]
With Pirro under fire from Trump, Navarro also hit Pirro on social media, writing: “And I’m still wondering why @JudgeJeanine still hasn’t fired the prosecutor John Crabb in her office who helped put me and Steve Bannon unjustly behind bars despite REPEATED urgings. VERY Disappointing. Talk ain’t walk.”
Navarro added a link to a Politico article titled, ‘Jeanine Pirro struggles to give Trump the wins he craves the most.’

Navarro was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys John Crabb, Jr. and Elizabeth Aloi. When Trump had Oath Keepers lawyer Ed Martin serving as acting U.S. Attorney in D.C., Martin demoted Aloi, who is currently Of Counsel in Morrison Foerster’s Investigations + White Collar Defense practice in Washington, D.C.
