James Comer Formally Asked to Videotape Todd Blanche, Kash Patel Testimonies

Kash Patel

House Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) is calling on Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) to hold videotaped interviews with acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel regarding the Epstein Files investigation.

Garcia, the Ranking Member on the Committee, cited former Attorney General Pam Bondi‘s interview last week (behind closed doors and not videotaped), in which she “invoked Blanche’s name more than 30 times, pointing to him as the person responsible for DOJ’s actions,” in formally requesting interviews with Blanche and Patel.

[NOTE: Garcia also wants Comer to release the transcribed interview with Bondi.]

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), who also sits on the Oversight Committee, confirmed that Bondi “put all the blame on Todd Blanche,” and agreed that “we need Blanche to testify next.”

Khanna said of the former AG: “She also hasn’t explained why survivor statements to the FBI were redacted in March ‘25. We demand and will pursue transparency.”

[NOTE: Comer noted that more interviews are scheduled including one on June 9 with Epstein’s former assistant Leslie Groff, on June 10 with Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, and on June 26 with former Apollo Global Management CEO Leon Black, among others.]
