The White House announced Thursday that President Trump’s Board of Peace “reached a HISTORIC agreement for the COMPLETE DISARMAMENT of Hamas and all other armed groups in Gaza. A monumental step toward lasting PEACE and SECURITY.”
Trump’s son-in-law, billionaire real estate developer Jared Kushner, who holds the title U.S. Special Envoy for Peace and is a member of the founding Executive Board for the Board of Peace, responded by writing: “Another historic step. And more work remains.”

Kushner’s wife, Ivanka Trump, who served as a presidential advisor during her father’s first term, replied to her husband: “A historic breakthrough! After months of determined diplomacy, Hamas has agreed to a roadmap that includes relinquishing its weapons, reconstruction of Gaza, new governance, humanitarian relief and economic recovery.”
She congratulated her father, husband, and fellow billionaire real estate mogul Steve Witkoff, Trump’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, “and everyone who worked tirelessly to help make this possible.”
Ivanka Trump’s comments are being met with skepticism on X from critics, including lawyer and TV legal analyst Jeffrey Evan Gold, who replied: “After Egypt was attacked this week, widening Daddy’s Iran war in the Middle East, he needed a counter-headline. Nothing will change. Gaza is in shambles. Israel will continue to attack at will. Hamas will continue to control the streets. No ocean front condos will be built.”

While the White House celebrated the Board of Peace agreement this week, CNN reported Thursday: “There has been no official comment from the Israeli government on the deal but on Friday, Israeli minister Orit Strouk, a member of far-right minister Bezalel Smotrich’s Religious Zionist party, strongly rejected Trump’s announced agreement.”
