Many people are talking about It Ends With Us.
Due to the Britney Spears-inspired outfit worn at the film’s premiere by star Blake Lively? A little bit.
Because of the way the ending of the movie differs from the book on which it is based? A tad.
But mostly as a result of what appears to be a rift between Lively and her fellow lead cast member, Justin Baldoni.

It Ends With Us is based on a best-selling novel by Colleen Hoover and it features Lively as Lily Bloom and Baldoni as Ryle Kincaid… two people who strike up a relationship in Boston, which unfortunately starts the mirror the abusive relationship Bloom witnessed between her parents as a child.
Throughout the press tour for this movie, Lively has scarcely been seen alongside Baldoni.
She has sat down for interviews with Hoover and co-stars such as Jenny Slate, Brandon Sklenar, Isabela Ferrer and Alex Neustaedter. But not with Baldoni.
At the aforementioned New York City premiere on August 6, Lively and Hoover introduced the movie to those in attendance.
Baldoni reportedly kept his distance from Blake.

It also seems worth noting that Lively doesn’t follow Baldoni on Instagram; neither does anyone in the case, in fact.
So, what the heck is going on?!?
Social media users think that perhaps Ryan Reynolds has been too involved in the movie’s promotion, with Lively saying her husband helped write some of the script.
This isn’t all that unusual, however, because Lively is a producer on It Ends With Us.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, meanwhile, Lively allegedly also asked for a cut of the movie from editor Shane Reid before the film was finalized.
The publication noted that it is unclear whether any of the cut — credited to editors Oona Flaherty and Robb Sullivan — was used in the final version.
An insider told Us Weekly on Friday that it’s not uncommon for someone to commission a different version of the film before it hits theaters.
“It’s very typical to have many cuts of the film during the post-production process,” the source explained. “This is the nature of post-production and part of the editing process.

Page Six, for its part, claims the issue is far more personal between Lively and Baldoni, the latter of whom directed this film.
One source told this outlet that Baldoni created an “extremely difficult” atmosphere behind the scenes for the entire cast.
And another said he made Lively feel “uncomfortable” during filming, specifically about her postpartum body.
We may never know the answer to this question, but Baldoni was asked last week by Entertainment Tonight whether he wants to direct a potential sequel based on Hoover’s follow-up book, It Starts With Us.
“I think there are better people for that one,” he replied. “I think Blake is ready to direct, that’s what I think.”
