Fox News Star Says Gavin Newsom “Like A Woman,” Exhibits “Emotional Instability”

Gov. Gavin Newsom

Fox News star Jesse Watters derided California Governor Gavin Newsom, saying that Newsom — whose new memoir appears to be a runway for a 2028 presidential campaign — “sounds like a woman.”

Elaborating on what he meant, unprompted, Watters asserted that Newsom displayed “emotional instability” that Watters sees as a female characteristic.

Watters, in what many commenters claimed was a classic case of projection, followed up by saying that Newsom is a “very nice guy, but the only reason he’s running for president is to prove his worth to his father and get back at all the bullies who beat the [expletive] out of him in middle school.”

Newsom’s memoir has been praised for its alleged candor and knocked for its alleged preening, reactions that are largely predictable based on which side of the aisle the critic is on.

President Trump has taken aim at the revelations in Newsom’s new memoir that the governor has long struggled with dyslexia, a common condition categorized as a learning disability.

Trump suggests that Newsom, whom he invariably refers to by a juvenile nickname, is unqualified to be President of the United States because of dyslexia. Conversely, Newsom presents dyslexia in his life story as a hurdle that forced him to compensate in ways that have made him smarter and better prepared — for example, unable to rely on a teleprompter, he must memorize his speeches.

Trump’s take on Newsom’s condition impugns approximately 20% of the population, according to Yale University, who battle dyslexia — and wrongly states that the condition disqualifies one from high levels of success.

Notable figures who are said to have overcome dyslexia include Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Charles Schwab, Trump’s good friend Caitlyn Jenner, and, many experts believe, George Washington, who consistently ranks among America’s most beloved and successful presidents.
