U.S. Representative Robert Garcia (D-CA), Ranking Member on the House Oversight Committee, who has been advocating for the complete release of the Epstein Files as required by law, dropped what he called a “bombshell” on social media on Wednesday.
Referring to The New York Times exposé ‘Inside the White House Freakout Over the Epstein Files‘, Garcia wrote: “For the first time, we now know that Vice President Vance has been deeply involved in Epstein strategy and this White House cover-up. He and top Admin officials have been using the situation room to meet. It’s time to talk to the VP.”
As seen below on CNN, Garcia said all of the people involved need to get “in front of the Oversight Committee” including Vance, who “has a lot of questions to answer.”

Garcia added of former Attorney General Pam Bondi, who recently spoke with the Committee behind closed doors, “She said she wasn’t involved, she didn’t know what was going on. That’s also clearly not true. She was involved in some of these meetings, sometimes by telephone and is also a central figure in this reporting.”
The Times report was filed by White House reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, who together wrote the forthcoming book “Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump.” The article was drawn from reporting done for that book, which will be released on June 23.
