MAGA-aligned voter registration advocate Scott Presler, who has been consistently pressuring Republican elected officials online to vote for President Trump’s SAVE America Act, which would require American citizens to show documents like a passport or birth certificate to register to vote and a photo ID to vote, today provided a list of the 19 Republican Senators who are running for re-election in 2028.
Presler emphasized only two of them “have agreed to cancel recess & remain in DC until the SAVE America Act is passed.”
The two who have agreed are Sens. Mike Lee (R-UT) and Ashley Moody (R-FL). Presler provided the list below:

Encouraged by Presler on Sunday, Lee wrote to Senate Majority Leader John Thune (who’s on the list above): “@LeaderJohnThune, I hereby object to any effort to put the Senate into recess in August—at least until such time as the Senate has passed the SAVE America Act—and hereby request a roll call vote. Do not assume you have my consent. You do not.”
Thune has said repeatedly that there aren’t enough votes and that the implementation of voter ID requirements described in the act would be impossible to pull off before Election Day in November.

On Sunday, Lee wrote: “The Senate doesn’t need a summer vacation as much as the country needs the SAVE America Act. Let’s cancel recess.”
Moody responded, writing: “I didn’t come to the United States Senate because I needed something to do. I’m serving because there are things we need to get done for the American People. The Senate needs to stay in session until we can get the SAVE America Act to the floor and passed.”
