1 killed, 1 wounded in Greater Grand Crossing shooting

A 38-year-old man was was killed and another was wounded Monday night in a shooting in Grand Crossing on the South Side.

Officers responded to calls of a person shot around 9:35 p.m. in the 7300 block of South Indiana Avenue and found a 38-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds, Chicago police said.

He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Another 38-year-old man was grazed by gunfire in the right arm and taken to St. Bernard Hospital in fair condition, officials said.


No one was arrested and Area 1 detectives were investigating.
