Fire under investigation at abandoned building in Little Village

A fire in an abandoned building in Little Village Saturday night was extinguished in about an hour, according to Chicago police and fire officials.

Police and firefighters responded to the fire about 7:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of South Lawndale Avenue, police said. The fire was extinguished about 8:30 p.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department.

No injuries were reported, police said.


The Chicago Fire Department is investigating the fire.
