The oddsmakers have released the early betting odds for the upcoming UFC 331 fight card taking place this fall.
UFC 331 takes place on September 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. Ahead of the event, the bookies have released the betting odds for four of the fights taking place.
UFC 331 Early Betting Odds for Headliners
The UFC officially announced the main and co-main event for the event this week, and here are the opening betting odds for them.
Alexandre Pantoja -120
Joshua Van +100
Despite being the UFC flyweight champion, Van opened as the underdog against Pantoja, the former champ who lost via first-round injury TKO at UFC 323 last December. Now healed up from his arm injury, Pantoja will be looking to win his belt back against the knockout artist Van.
Arman Tsarukyan -350
Mauricio Ruffy +280
Tsarukyan is the No. 2-ranked contender in the UFC lightweight division, but he will have to get past Ruffy if he is to get a title shot against champion Justin Gaethje at 155 lbs. As for Ruffy, he is coming off an amazing win over Michael Chandler at UFC Freedom 250 and now gets this huge opportunity to steal the next lightweight title shot away from Tsarukyan.
UFC 331 Early Betting Odds for Other Fights
The UFC also announced two heavyweight bouts for the card this week, and we have opening betting odds for both of them.
Robelis Despaigne -500
Tai Tuivasa +380
Despaigne returns to the UFC fresh off a KO win over Junior dos Santos in MVP MMA. The promotion gave him a very winnable fight here against Tuivasa, who has lost seven straight fights and who is trying to save his job here with a win. While Tuivasa has a puncher’s chance, this should be Despaigne’s fight to win all day.
Gable Steveson -1600
Sean Sharaf +900
Steveson is one of the top heavyweight prospects in MMA today. He made his UFC debut at UFC 329 in July and knocked out Elisha Ellison. As for Sharaf, he is 0-2 in the UFC with two knockout losses, and he will likely lose a third straight fight as this is a terrible stylistic matchup for him.
