Rising WWE star Je’Von Evans is taking the WWE by storm and has already carved out a reputation as one of the most awe-inspiring high flyers on the main roster.
Evans joined the RAW roster in January and has wasted little time in making himself known among the WWE Universe. The Young OG has already squared off against the likes of AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Penta, and Dominik Mysterio since being promoted.
Now that he’s got some main roster experience under his belt, Evans has his sights set on breaking a longstanding Randy Orton record.
In an interview with The Wrestling Classic at SummerSlam, Evans discussed his aspirations to become a world champion. Evans added that he’s “very focused” on breaking Randy Orton’s record as the youngest world champion in WWE history.
“I would love to bring back the spinner [WWE Championship],” Evans replied when asked what belt he would bring back if he became world champion. “[However], I’m very, very, very focused on breaking Randy Orton’s record. So, if I get to break that record, I would have to bring back Big Goldie. It’s so fire. I have to bring it back.”
Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit in August 2004 to become the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history. He was 24 years old.
Evans, 22, was born months before Orton’s historic championship win. Now, the Young OG hopes to snatch the honor from The Viper.

Je’Von Evans has drawn comparisons to Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles since entering WWE. Like the two high flyers who preceded him, Evans wants to become world champion.
Evans has turned heads since making his NXT debut in 2024. From the moment he set foot in the square circle, his athleticism jumped off the screen.
The Young OG makes hesitation drop kicks and springboard cutters look as routine as an Irish whip.
One thing that has eluded him thus far in his NXT and WWE career is a championship reign.
During his stint in NXT, Evans competed against Oba Femi and Trick Williams for the NXT Championship, but came up short in both matches.
Still, it isn’t far-fetched to imagine the Young OG securing gold in WWE.
Evans possesses the grit, tenacity, and fighting ability needed to become champion.
He’s also received training and coaching tips from some of WWE’s biggest icons, including Shawn Michaels and AJ Styles.
With a plethora of natural-born ability and Hall of Fame-caliber advice at his disposal, Evans becoming world champion feels like a matter of when, not if.
Should he do so within the next year and eight months, he could surpass Randy Orton as the youngest world champion in WWE history.
