<p id=”par-2_46″>Days after <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/former-royal-staffer-says-prince-harry-couldnt-stay-buckingham-palace-every-single-need-has-to-be-catered-to.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Prince Harry</a> traveled to the U.K. for the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, it was reported that he and Meghan, along with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, met with King Charles and Queen Camilla privately at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, England.</p>
<p id=”par-3_22″>Sources close to the Sussexes told <a href=”https://www.vanityfair.com/story/king-charles-queen-camilla-prince-harry-reunion” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Vanity Fair</a> that the catch-up meeting lasted about “an hour” and was “completely cloak-and-dagger, orchestrated by the king.”</p>

Since leaving the royal household, Harrold has become one of the U.K.’s leading etiquette experts. In 2025, he published his first book, <em>The Royal Butler</em>, which became an Amazon bestseller. He regularly appears on TV offering royal commentary on both current and historic news stories.</p>
<p id=”par-5_48″>Speaking on behalf of <a href=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Action Network</a>, Harrold told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “I think we can safely assume there will be some sort of a gift from the king and queen this year. Relations are seemingly improving considerably, and Charles will want to celebrate his daughter-in-law with a special gesture.</p>
<p id=”par-6_52″>“It might be that he gave Harry the present when the Sussexes were in the U.K. for him to pass on to Meghan on the day itself. At the end of the day, she is still his daughter-in-law, but it’s a tricky one for him as to what gift that should be.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_47″>He added that the royals would not be wishing the Duchess of Sussex a happy birthday via social media as they did years ago, saying, “In terms of public birthday messages, the royal family only shares birthday messages on social media for working members of The Firm.”</p>

I imagine her mum Doria will play a key part in whatever celebrations she picks, and there will be calls with family and friends.”</p>
