Three people were hospitalized after a boat capsized on Lake Michigan near Kenwood on Monday evening, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The scuba team responded to a call of a boat sinking around 7 p.m. in the 4700 block of DuSable Lake Shore Drive, a department spokesperson said.
All seven people on the boat were pulled out of the water, the fire official said. Three and taken to a nearby hospital in good condition, while four others refused medical attention.
The boat was about 20 yards away from shore when it began to sink, the spokesperson said. No other information was immediately available.
