Gates opening for Lollapalooza Day 3 have been delayed until 2 p.m. due to heavy rains, organizers announced Saturday morning.
It wasn’t immediately clear what the delay would mean for the lineup; the first artists were scheduled to take the stage starting at 12 p.m. Chicago disco-funk artist Ric Wilson is slated to perform at 1:15 p.m.
Periods of widespread torrential rainfall are expected to amount 1-2 inches, according to the National Weather Service, with localized amounts over 2-3 inches. The weather service also issued a flood warning Saturday, which is in effect until 1 p.m.
Organizers encourage attendees to follow the festival’s social media accounts and the app for the latest updates.
