A man has been charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a woman in Lincoln Park last month, according to Chicago police.
Jaylin Jones, 23, faces charges of attempted murder and aggravated battery, police said.
The 39-year-old woman was shot in the 600 block of West Belden Avenue on June 7, police said. She took herself to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where she was in critical condition at the time.
Jones was slated to appear in court Thursday.
