MAGA Congresswoman Warns of “Disturbing Declassified Files” on Ex-Congress Member

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna

MAGA-aligned U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) announced on social media that “some seriously disturbing declassified files will be coming out in the coming weeks about a Former Member Of Congress placing interns in other offices that happen to be agents of foreign governments.”

[NOTE: Luna did not name the former congress member.]

She added: “Representative Kat Cammack has legislation that would require background checks on staff and it should be brought to the floor immediately. Also, this is a massive security breach.”

Rep. Cammack (R-FL) added to Luna’s post: “H.Res 500 would require background checks and full disclosure of dual citizenship and employment of foreign nations. No surprise to anyone that we are being fought every step of the way. You can help us make sure all Capitol Hill staff get background checks by calling your Rep!”

Cammack’s bill proposes to amend the Rules of the House of Representatives “to require employees of the House to be subject to criminal background checks conducted by the United States Capitol Police, and for other purposes.”

Several X users expressed surprise, including one who wrote: “Turns out you need a background check to work at Starbucks, but not to work inside the U.S. Capitol. Cammack’s bill should’ve passed years ago.”

The bill reads: “If an employee of the House received any payment from, or entered into any contract or agreement with a government of a foreign country during the 3-year period preceding the date on which the employee begins service as an employee of the House, the employee shall file with the Clerk a report containing a description of the payment, contract, or agreement, including the identification of such government.”
