Man stabbed during fight in Loop

A man is recovering at a hospital in fair condition after someone stabbed him during a fight early Friday in the Loop.

Around 12:35 a.m., the 34-year-old man was standing with a group of people in the 300 block of South State Street when a fight occurred and someone within the group stabbed the man, Chicago police said.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with cuts to his body and was listed in fair condition, police said.


Area 3 detectives were investigating.
