<p id=”par-2_47″>Pratt, a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/spencer-pratt-blew-10-million-because-of-the-mayan-calendar.html/”>former reality television star</a>, began his campaign because he believed Los Angeles needed saving. He said he didn’t think the city would be habitable if either Democrat Karen Bass or Nithya Raman won. As a result, he vowed to leave if he did not win.</p>
<p id=”par-3_46″>“I’m not doing this to lose, I’m doing this to win and save the city,” he told <a href=”https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/spencer-pratt-on-why-running-for-mayor-is-his-destiny/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Us Weekly</a>. “My point [was], if I don’t win, L.A. is done, and it’s not going to be livable. It’s going to be out of a dystopian nightmare movie.”</p>

<p id=”par-5_20″>On a recent episode of<em> Jimmy Kimmel Live!</em>, the talk show host brought up Pratt’s promise to leave the city.</p>
<p id=”par-6_47″>“He clearly promised that if Karen Bass or Nithya Raman were elected mayor, he’s going to move out of L.A.,” he said on <em>Jimmy Kimmel Live!</em> “He said he was done with L.A., and Spencer, if you’re watching, we are so, so sorry to see you go.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_8″>Kimmel sarcastically said that he would miss Pratt.</p>
<p id=”par-8_48″>“We do know we’re going to miss the hell out of you,” Kimmel said. “You’re a man of your word and you’ve got to go. You said you were going to go and I know things might be tight right now, especially out-of-state donation money is running out.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_15″>He told Pratt that he rented him a U-Haul to help him leave the city.</p>
<p id=”par-10_39″>“Moving is expensive, so, to help you out, we rented you a U-Haul. It has plenty of room. It’s got two beds, tables, chairs, all your crystals, whatever you want. Our staff spent the whole day decorating for you.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_21″>He wished <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/spencer-pratt-says-wife-heidi-montag-arent-bothered-backlash-fan-donations.html/”>Pratt and his family</a> the best of luck and suggested that he run for mayor in his next city.</p>
<p id=”par-12_58″>“Maybe you could be mayor there, or maybe just run for mayor and finish in third place there,” he said. “It could be fun for your new reality show season 2. Either way, mazel tov and goodbye, Spencer Pratt. Let us know if you want [the U-Haul]. We’ll drop it off right in front of the Bel-Air hotel.”</p>
<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-his-sister-told-people-not-to-vote-for-him”>His sister told people not to vote for him</h2>
<p id=”par-13_18″>While some high-profile people supported Pratt’s mayoral campaign, his sister, Stephanie, told people not to vote for him.</p>
<p id=”par-14_33″>“Spencer has done great work for the palisades. But LA does not need another unqualified and inexperienced mayor,” Stephanie wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “A vote for him is a vote for stupidity.”</p>
