Phillies Star Trea Turner Makes Honest Statement
GettyTrea Turner #7 of the Philadelphia Phillies throws to first base for the final out in the ninth inning against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on May 30, 2026 in Los Angeles, California.
After the game, Turner made an honest statement when he met with the media (h/t NBC Sports Philadelphia).
Turner: “I think that’s what’s frustrating is I feel like some guys are taking good swings, hitting the ball hard and just not finding holes. At the end of the day, it comes down to whether or not you score the runs and we haven’t done that… I think that’s a lot of why I’m frustrated… Every ball I hit over 95 MPH this series I think I was out.”
Turner is currently batting .223 with 53 hits, seven home runs, 19 RBI’s, 34 runs and 11 stolen bases in 58 games this season.
He is in his fourth year with the Phillies.
