Immersive Titanic VR experience opens in Old Town after monthlong delay

The virtual reality Titanic experience is, finally, ready to take passengers.

“Titanic: A Voyage Through Time” was supposed to open in April in the Old Town neighborhood but ran into a licensing issue. The attraction will open on May 29, according to Fever, the company operating the experience.

It said in a statement this week:

“Due to unexpected delays, we unfortunately had to cancel select sessions in April and May. We understand how disappointing and frustrating this was, and we sincerely appreciate everyone’s understanding during the process. We’re excited to share that ‘Titanic: A Voyage Through Time’ officially drops anchor in Chicago on May 29th.”

Fever added: “Previously purchased tickets are still valid and can be used to book a new date and time. Ticket holders should check their email for instructions on rebooking.”

The exhibition is located at 108 W. Germania Pl. Tickets for the 45-minute adventure for visitors 10 years and up are available at titanicexperiencevr.com/chicago. The experience is presented in English and Spanish.
