It has been quite a year for Maverick McNealy and wife, Maya McNealy. From climbing PGA Tour leaderboards to starring in the hit Netflix show “Full Swing,” the spotlight is getting brighter for the McNealy family.
Yet, the biggest news came last November when the couple welcomed a new baby. Maverick took to Instagram to share the arrival of the couple’s daughter, Adeline.
“I didn’t know I could love two people so much,” Maverick noted in a November 10, 2025, message. “Maya and I are so excited to welcome baby Adeline to our family.
“Addie, thank you for welcoming me to parenthood so, umm, uniquely!! 🤍 mothers are superheroes!!”

Maverick McNealy Received Tough Love From Wife, Maya McNealy
Maverick is one of several PGA Tour golfers featured in Season 4 of “Full Swing.” This means that Maya and Maverick’s family also make appearances in the Netflix series.
The golfer was finding it hard to win, but a pep talk from his wife helped give him a new perspective. Maverick was finally able to win the The RSM Classic in 2024, which remains the only victory of his PGA Tour career.
“I definitely appreciated the win because I realized how hard it is to win,” Maverick told Golf.com’s Nick Piastowski during a January 2, 2025, feature story titled, “PGA Tour pro told his wife winning was hard. Then came 15 words.” “I actually got to the point where my wife is, like, ‘Stop talking about how hard it is — just go out and do what you’re doing.’
“That was the big lesson, was that I didn’t do anything differently than what I’ve been doing — it just all kind of fell into place. I had lots of chances. I don’t know, I wasn’t really worried about not having won,” Maverick added.
“I wasn’t really thinking any less. I figured it would probably happen — just needed some stuff to go right. And also kind of figure that the first one’s probably the hardest, probably like your first major whatever, each milestone.”
Maverick McNealy Is in Contention to Win His 1st Major at the PGA Championship
Maya has had an up-close look at Maverick’s rise up the PGA Tour ranks. The couple got married on December 6, 2023.
Now, Maverick heads into the final two rounds of the PGA Championship in contention to win his first major. Despite his stellar recent form, Maverick admitted that he is still searching for confidence.
“I honestly wouldn’t say they’re (his confidence) that high,” Maverick told reporters on May 15, during the PGA Championship. “I didn’t feel like I played that great. I somehow got a lot out of my game, and this is obviously new territory for me. But I am confident that it’s going to go into the experience bank, and good or bad, I’m going to learn a lot from it.
“And really excited to test my game in ways it hasn’t been tested before, and I think this is the next step for me as a professional is competing and playing well in this type of tournament.”
