Patriots’ Wild Six Flags Schedule Reveal Has NFL Fans Losing It

The New England Patriots may have just won NFL schedule release season.

On Wednesday night, the team unveiled its official 2026 schedule with a chaotic — and wildly entertaining — video filmed at Six Flags New England, featuring several Patriots players riding roller coasters while revealing each week’s opponent.

The video instantly exploded across social media, with fans from around the NFL calling it one of the funniest and most creative schedule release rollouts of the year.

Among the players featured in the video were cornerback Christian Gonzalez, Marcus Jones, Craig Woodson, rookie receiver Efton Chism III, rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson, Kyle Williams, and special teams standout Brenden Schooler.

Quarterback Drake Maye never actually appeared at the amusement park itself, but he still made a cameo midway through the release — hilariously showing up to represent the Patriots’ Week 11 bye.

The Patriots open the 2026 season against the Seattle Seahawks on Sept. 9 before facing teams including the Steelers, Jaguars, Bills, Raiders, Dolphins, Chiefs and Jets later in the year.

Christian Gonzalez Became an Unexpected Star

While the entire video generated buzz, fans especially locked in on Gonzalez’s reaction during several roller coaster sequences.

Or, more accurately, his lack of reaction.

Throughout multiple rides, Gonzalez stayed almost completely expressionless while teammates screamed around him, quickly turning him into the unofficial star of the video.

“Gonzo so nonchalant,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “I’ve never seen someone so calm on a roller coaster.”

A different commenter joked, “Nonchalant on the wicked cyclone is crazy.”

Fans also loved seeing the players genuinely having fun together away from the football field.

“Good to see the boys having fun and laughing,” one commenter wrote.

Another fan simply called it, “The best schedule release ever.”

Even rival fanbases admitted they were impressed.

“I’m a Broncos fan and this is cinema hahaha,” one viewer commented.

Patriots’ 2026 Schedule Officially Revealed

The Patriots’ bye week comes in Week 11 — which is exactly where Maye appeared during the team’s viral Six Flags-themed release video.

As the video spread online, the comments quickly turned into early-season predictions and reactions to New England’s official 2026 slate.

Several fans pointed out that the Patriots no longer have the “easy schedule” label attached to them heading into this season.

“Absolutely no way they can say easy schedule this year bro,” one commenter wrote.

Another added, “No one can complain about strength of schedule next year.”

Some fans were already throwing out bold record predictions.

“12-5,” one person predicted.

Another wrote, “I got us taking the Hawks week 1 but I don’t see us losing more than 5 games we got this.”

Others focused more on the creativity of the rollout itself.

“This one was AWESOME!!” one fan posted.

“Tuff way to announce the schedule,” another added.

NFL schedule release videos have quietly become their own offseason competition over the last several years, with teams trying increasingly elaborate concepts to stand out online.

Based on the early reaction, the Patriots may have delivered one of the biggest fan favorites of the entire 2026 release cycle.
