The NASCAR community is celebrating after FOX Sports reporter and longtime NASCAR host Alex Weaver welcomed her first child with husband Stephen Colletti.
Weaver and Colletti announced the arrival of their baby boy, Rhodes August Colletti, in a joint Instagram post on May 15. The black-and-white photo showed their newborn grasping Weaver’s finger while wearing a striped knit hat.
“Rhodes August Colletti,” the couple captioned the post alongside a white heart emoji.
The announcement quickly drew support from across both the NASCAR and entertainment worlds, with several recognizable racing personalities sharing congratulatory messages in the comments.
Denny Hamlin’s fiancée Jordan Fish wrote, “Omg!!!! He’s here!!! Congratulations Alex!!!! So so proud of you!!” alongside multiple red heart emojis.
Stacy Stenhouse, sister of NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr., added, “Congratulations!!!!” with blue heart emojis.
Mitchell Smith — wife of Speedway Motorsports president Marcus Smith — also commented, “So happy for y’all!!!!!”
The reactions continued pouring in throughout the day as fans and members of the racing community celebrated the couple’s milestone moment.
Alex Weaver Has Become a Familiar Face in NASCAR Coverage
While Colletti brings crossover celebrity recognition from his time on MTV’s “Laguna Beach” and “One Tree Hill,” Weaver has built a strong following of her own within the NASCAR world over the last several years.
Weaver currently works as a reporter for FOX Sports and also serves as a reporter and host for SiriusXM. She has additionally spent nearly nine years working in various on-air and digital roles with NASCAR.
Weaver has become a recognizable personality for race fans through her coverage across NASCAR’s digital platforms, trackside reporting, interviews, and hosting duties throughout the Cup Series season.
Her relationship with Colletti has also drawn attention from both NASCAR fans and longtime MTV viewers since the couple first went public with their romance in 2022.
The Couple Recently Celebrated Major Milestones Together
The baby announcement comes just months after Weaver and Colletti tied the knot.
The couple married earlier this year after becoming engaged in October 2023. They later announced in January that they were expecting their first child together.
At the time, Weaver shared beachside maternity photos on Instagram as the couple celebrated the upcoming addition to their family.
Colletti also previously opened up about becoming a father during an appearance at the premiere event for MTV’s “Laguna Beach” reunion project earlier this year.
“To some degree, I’ve maybe for my life to be put upside down in that way,” Colletti said. “I’ve been waiting my whole life for pregnancy and she’s been such a superhero, such a badass.”
He added, “And this next chapter, I feel so fortunate it’s about to happen. And then we’re going to be experiencing it together. And I know we’re going to have a lot to learn.”
Now, the couple is celebrating another major milestone together — parenthood.
