Packers Fans Bracing for the Worst After Latest Micah Parsons Injury Update

Green Bay Packers fans learned of some bad news this week when ESPN’s Adam Schefter delivered the latest news regarding star pass-rusher Micah Parsons.

“The feeling within the organization has been that Parsons would miss the early part of the season and be back early on,” Schefter said. “He’ll be a candidate to be placed on the physically unable to perform list. I’ve heard three to four games potentially missed.

“But again, we are still 4-5 months away from the time the season starts, there’s time for him to recover, time for him to get back. But it certainly feels like the tone has been — and the expectation has been — that Parsons will miss some time to start the season.”

Players who start the season on the PUP list are required to miss the first four games of the year at minimum. After those four games, teams have a five-week window to allow that player to start practicing, and a 21-day window after that to activate the player.

Parsons Update Has Packers Fans Concerned

If Schefter’s report is accurate, Parsons will miss games against the Minnesota Vikings (Week 1, Sept. 13), New York Jets (Week 2, Sept. 20), Atlanta Falcons (Week 3, Sept. 24 on “Thursday Night Football”), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Week 4, Oct. 4).

The earliest Parsons could return is Week 5 against the Chicago Bears. The prospect of being without their best defensive player for at least a month brought about some strong reactions from Packers fans on social media.

“He’ll never be the same,” one fan replied.

“Dawg, wtf. 8 months should be wayyyyyyyy more than enough for a star athlete with everything at their disposal to get better. Smh,” another fan exclaimed.

“Several weeks… 📝 😬,” a third fan feared.

“They got damaged goods from Dallas,” one user posted.

“He won’t be back till the bye week. Week 10,” another user snarked.

“@MicahhParsons11, I hope this ain’t true 💔I need a Parsons sack week 5,” one fan posted.

“Huge disappointment for Packers,” another user scoffed.

“Guys a walking injury. Jerry fleeced the packers 😂😂,” quipped another user.

“What a terrible trade for the Packers,” another fan noted.
