During their series with the Mets, Goldschmidt can make MLB history, as he needs just one home run to tie Jeff Kent and Norm Cash (377) for 79th on the all-time list.
Jeff Quagliata of YES Network wrote (on May 12): “Paul Goldschmidt with his 376th career home run which passes Manny Machado and ties Carlton Fisk for 81st all-time. Next up: Jeff Kent and Norm Cash with 377″
Goldschmidt (who is 38) is in his second season playing for the Yankees.
Despite being out of his prime, he still remains a very valuable player.
Right now, the former MVP is batting .262 with 16 hits, four home runs, ten RBI’s and 14 runs in his first 20 games of the 2026 season.
