The Milwaukee Bucks will be making a decision on Giannis Antetokounmpo soon. After a season that saw a lot of drama surrounding him, this seems to be the summer they part ways. A decision will likely come before the NBA Draft.
With the draft lottery finished, teams have their full complement of assets. Teams likely have already started making calls to Milwaukee to see if a deal can be made. Some teams still left in the playoffs might think about getting in on a deal if they fail to win a title, as well.
One trade proposal from Bleacher Report would see the Bucks land one of the best young players in the NBA, Evan Mobley, in exchange for Antetokounmpo.

Proposed Trade Sees Bucks Land Evan Mobley in Exchange for Giannis Antetokounmpo
Here is the full trade proposal:
Cleveland Cavaliers receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Milwaukee Bucks receive: Evan Mobley, Sam Merrill, 2026 No. 29
This trade would allow the Bucks to rebuild around Mobley as a player who is a really good defender and inside scorer. He would fit perfectly next to Myles Turner, who is a stretch five. Getting a first-round pick in this draft is also a good idea.
Trading Antetokounmpo inside the division is certainly not something the Bucks would prefer to do. They will have plenty of offers for Antetokounmpo this summer. There’s no guarantee Cleveland tries to trade Mobley after this season, anyway. That will be predicated on how they finish out this postseason.
If they do include Mobley in an Antetokounmpo package, he would be the best young player offered to Milwaukee out of any team. If that’s what they covet, this would be the offer they would be most inclined to accept. However, if they covet draft picks more, they would likely move on.

The Bucks Will Make a Giannis Antetokounmpo Decision Soon
Regardless of which teams are calling about Antetokounmpo, the Bucks will decide whether they are trading him in the next month or so. They will need to decide before the draft so that they get the best possible package. That is what a lot of teams can offer.
If the Bucks do trade Antetokounmpo, they would likely be interested in getting some first-round draft capital in the next few years. They own hardly any of their current draft picks, so they need to recoup those picks somehow. Getting them in an Antetokounmpo trade makes the most sense.
Milwaukee could field offers from as many as eight teams. Cleveland, Golden State, Miami, the Lakers, Knicks, and Nets are just a few of the teams that could try to make a move for Antetokounmpo. There could be more, as well.
If the Bucks do trade Antetokounmpo, they must get it right. They have to get the best possible package so they can move forward in the right direction. This will be Jon Horst’s defining moment.
