After the loss, manager Dave Roberts announced an update on Ohtani.
Maddie Lee of The Los Angeles Times wrote: “Dave Roberts said he plans to give Shohei Ohtani a day off from hitting either Wednesday, when he pitches, or Thursday.”
Ohtani is batting .233 with 34 hits, six home runs, 16 RBI’s, 25 runs and five stolen bases in 38 games.
He is in his third season with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers are the second-place team in the National League West with a 24-17 record in 41 games.
They have gone 13-9 in the 22 games they have played at home.
Following three more games against the Giants, the Dodgers will visit Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night.
