The first round series against the Boston Celtics was another opportunity for Maxey to flash his stardom.
The Sixers were the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference, taking on a Celtics team that had championship expectations as the No. 2 seed. Without Joel Embiid, Maxey and the 76ers managed to steal a game on the road in Game 2.
When the star center returned, the 76ers fired up a 3-1 run, which helped them pull off the comeback upset, eliminating the Celtics from the postseason.
Against the Celtics, Maxey shot 46.4% from the field and 41.8% from three to average 26.9 points. He also came down with 4.9 rebounds per game, and dished out 6.6 assists per matchup.
