<p id=”par-1_24″>Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is speaking out about his <em>Jersey Shore</em> co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s concerning appearance at a recent event promoting the MTV show. </p>
<p id=”par-2_54″>Fans of the show popular reality show became alarmed when Ronnie appeared to doze off during an on-camera interview promoting the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jersey-shore-stars-say-this-is-just-intermission-as-mtv-announces-premiere-date-for-final-season-of-family-vacation.html/”>final season of <em>Jersey Shore Family Vacation</em></a><em>. </em>Days earlier he walked the red carpet for the show’s premiere, but his team allegedly prevented him from talking to reporters because he was too intoxicated. </p>
<p id=”par-3_35″>“Ronnie was too messed up to do any interviews,” a source told <a href=”https://www.the-sun.com/tv/16271401/ronnie-ortiz-magro-jersey-shore-red-carpet-wasted/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>The Sun</a>. “He took photos on the carpet at the start, but then he was taken away while everyone did the press line.”</p>
<p id=”par-4_21″>The reality star’s out-of-it demeanor comes shortly after his ex-girlfriend called the cops to report a domestic dispute between the pair.</p>

<p id=”par-5_30″>So far, Ronnie has not addressed his behavior during the <em>Family Vacation </em>press tour. But on Thursday, his longtime <em>Jersey Shore </em>castmate acknowledged that he was worried about his friend. </p>
<p id=”par-6_43″>“I want to be clear that I am not responsible for the actions of any other cast member,” Mike wrote on his Instagram Story. “At the same time, my heart is heavy seeing what Ron, a grown adult, chose to present during press.”</p>
<p id=”par-7_42″>“This situation is still developing, and while I do not know the full extent of what he may be going through, I do know it is separate from my path. I will help where I can, including through my organization, Archangel Centers.”</p>

<p id=”par-8_36″>The Situation has been open about his own <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/jersey-shore-star-mike-sorrentino-tried-heroin-lowest-point.html/”>struggles with substance abuse</a>. He has been sober since 2015. In his post, he said he’d contacted Ronnie to offer support, but he had not received a response.</p>
<p id=”par-9_30″>“I reached out to check in an offer my support and I am still waiting to hear back. If he is willing, I will be there for him,” he wrote. </p>
<p id=”par-10_16″>The Situation ended his message by saying that he “heart is with anyone who is struggling.”</p>
<p id=”par-11_28″>“I have worked hard to protect my sobriety for nearly 11 years,” he wrote. “I honor that every day while continuing to show up with compassion for others. </p>
<p id=”par-12_18″>The final season of <em>Jersey Shore Family Vacation </em>premieres Thursday, May 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.</p>
