Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife Hailee Steinfeld are new parents, and when Allen isn’t busy on the field and Steinfeld isn’t making movies, the two are getting used to be called “mom and dad.” Now, Steinfeld is opening up about another member of her family, her brother.
In her Friday, April 24 newsletter, called “The Beau Society,” Steinfeld opens up about her brother, Griffin, and even interviews him. She also says that since she’s been doing this newsletter, one of the most common requests she’s received has been to talk more about her brother.
“Today’s issue is one I’m particularly excited about, as it’s one of our most-requested ever,” she states in the newsletter, which is available on Substack. “And I just want to say thank you for asking for it, because it was the catalyst for one of the best conversations I’ve ever had with my brother Griffin.”
Hailee Steinfeld’s Brother Griffin Has Launched His Own Business
Steinfeld’s brother is anything but boring. He’s a professional race car driver, stunt driver and business person. She also shared the news that her brother has launched his own business, Griffin Performance, a “high performance marine tuning and engine building” company.
“You work extremely hard, but you love it,” Steinfeld said to her brother in the interview. “Talk to me about Griffin Performance and starting your own business.”
“If you have a vision or an idea, it’s usually because you see a void in the space that you can fill,” he responded in the interview. “You really need to lock that vision in and understand that as you progress from off the ground level, you’re going to go around corners that are going to pull you right or left, but you have to stay straight on that original vision. It’s something I struggle with.”
Griffin added, “I’ll meet a certain crowd that needs this kind of work done, but doing that work doesn’t get me closer to the goal I originally set. The bottom line is find your void, find your niche, and fill it.”

Steinfeld also talked about how she and her brother are close in the interview. “I’m curious, why do you think we get along so well?” she asked.
“Communication and understanding. We respect each other,” he responded. “If one of us is going through something, the other stops what they’re doing and listens. You sit down and help me get through something, and vice versa.”
He added, “If we disagree, we disagree on an adult level. We talk about it. We never scream, yell, or fight, and I think that’s what really keeps everything kosher and tight. We also give each other our space.”
Finally, she asked the question of what kind of an uncle Griffin is going to be to her baby with Allen.
“Oh, the fun uncle for sure,” he replied. “We’re going to be out at the racetrack. We’ll be boating during the summertime. We’ll be going to the movies, sneaking candy in. All that good stuff.”
