Concerning Video Emerges of Donte DiVincenzo Amid Season-Ending Injury

Things do not look good for the Minnesota Timberwolves as Donte DiVincenzo and Anthony Edwards both left the team’s Game 4 matchup against the Denver Nuggets with separate injuries. There are concerns about both players, but DiVincenzo sustained a non-contact injury which appears to be an Achilles injury.

A new video emerged of DiVincenzo being transported in a wheelchair during the game. This would seem to indicate DiVincenzo is struggling to put weight on his leg.

DiVincenzo was also seen with a cast on his right leg. Here’s a look at the video that has fans concerned about DiVincenzo’s injury.

Donte DiVincenzo Injury: Wolves Guard Has Been Ruled Out for the NBA Season

Both Edwards and DiVincenzo were ruled out for Game 4. The Wolves have not revealed a return timeline for either player.

Sports doctor Brian Sutterer noted that DiVincenzo looked to have sustained an Achilles injury.

“Yea, looks like an Achilles for Donte,” Sutterer explained in an April 26, 2026, message on X.

“Doesn’t really mean much that he could walk off. Classic mechanism, pop etc.”

ESPN’s Shams Charania confirmed that DiVincenzo sustained a torn Achilles tendon. The Timberwolves guard has been ruled out for the remainder of the season and faces a “lengthy recovery.”

“Minnesota’s Donte DiVincenzo has been diagnosed with a torn right Achilles tendon, sources tell ESPN,” Charania reported in an April 26, post on X. “His season is over with a lengthy recovery. Devastating blow for the Timberwolves starting guard.”

Wolves Guard Anthony Edwards Will Undergo Tests on His Injured Left Knee

There is also rising concerns that Edwards will miss time as well. Edwards is expected to undergo testing to determine the severity of his injury, per Charania.

“Anthony Edwards is set to undergo tests on his injured left knee,” Charania explained. “He had been playing through runner’s knee in his other knee.

“The Timberwolves starting guards sustain injuries in the first half tonight in Game 4 against Denver.”

Anthony Edwards Was Previously Dealing With Another Knee Injury

After Game 1, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch detailed Edwards’ previous knee injury. Edwards’ latest injury appears to be on a different knee.

“This is the first year that I’ve ever seen anything different where he’s been frustrated by not feeling 100 percent,” Finch explained on April 19, per The Athletic’s Jon Krawczynski. “He’s always played through little injuries, but I think this one, more than ever, felt it impinged the way he was able to play.

“But he looks good. He feels good right now. It’s just about getting him in the rhythm of the game, which is hard to do in the playoffs. But I know he’s ready for it.”

Despite the injuries, Minnesota rebounded nicely against Denver to win Game 4. The Wolves-Nuggets series will continue with Game 5 on Monday, April 27, leaving little time for Edwards to recover.

If necessary, Game 6 will take place on Thursday, April 30. Time will tell if Edwards will be able to return for the series, but it could be an extended time before DiVincenzo is able to play again.
