With the season well underway it’s worth noting that a former Dodgers star is currently playing in the Minor Leagues.

Chris Taylor has appeared in 13 games for the Salt Lake Bees.

He is batting .356 with nine RBI’s, eight runs and one stolen base.

Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com wrote (on March 27): “Chris Taylor and Hunter Strickland are both re-signing Minor League deals with the #Angels and will report to Triple-A Salt Lake.”

Taylor is coming off a season where he finished his final 30 games playing for the Angels (after getting released by the Dodgers).

He batted .186 with two home runs, 12 RBI’s, 15 runs and two stolen bases in 58 total games.

Doug McKain of Dodgers Nation wrote (on May 18, 2025): “Chris Taylor was in the fourth year of a 4-year, $60 million contract. The Dodgers owe him around $9.3 million for the remainder of this season and he has a $12 million club option with a $4 million buyout. LA is going to pay out around $13.3 million to move on from Taylor.”
