Red Sox Reportedly Make Roster Move Before Yankees

UPDATE: The move is now official.
Before their series with the Yankees begins, Chris Cotillo of MassLive reported that the Red Sox are making a roster move.
Cotillo wrote (on Monday:) “Red Sox roster moves are underway. Tyler Samaniego will be called up to the big league team tomorrow, per source.”
Samaniego was picked in the 15th round of the 2021 MLB Draft.
He made his MLB debut last season, appearing in three games for the Red Sox.
Tyler Milliken of Section 10 Podcast wrote (on March 18): “Tyler Samaniego has made 4 appearances this spring (5.2 IP) and all of them have been scoreless. He’s only given up 1 hit and it was against Puerto Rico. Ended up going 2 full innings against the Yankees this afternoon. Recorded 4 Ks and didn’t give up a walk. 3 Whiffs.”
