Here’s what people were saying about the news on social media:

Charlotte Varnes: “Thomson said Realmuto jammed his knee and back last night on García’s throw to home plate in the second. The knee is fine but the back tightened up tonight. Realmuto will be checked out in the morning.”
@PhillyThe13th: “Signing Realmuto for 3 more years was a massive mistake.”
@phillysportruth: “JT Realmuto got hurt 😭😭😭”
@thunderducks26: “When you sign old guys these things are going to happen.”
@curllyfry: “3rd time he’s had to leave a game hurt this season. It’s April 18th.”
@nickyyrebornnnn: “Too old, can’t hit anymore, and we really brought him back lmao”
