Rory McIlroy and His Wife, Erica Stoll, No Longer Live Together in Their Florida Home Full Time

Fresh off of his historic second win at the Masters Tournament, Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy wasted little time when it came to returning to a sense of normalcy with his wife, Erica Stoll, and daughter, Poppy. After the celebrations at Augusta National, the two-time Masters Champion and his family were spotted landing back in Florida, their North American home base, just a short while later.

All may have appeared to be well as the family disembarked from McIlroy’s private jet, but beyond the headlines of the golfer’s on-course dominance, his off-course life continues to draw attention. From his transatlantic lifestyle to an ongoing public fascination with his marriage amid fluctuating divorce rumors and cheating allegations, Rory McIlroy is anything but out of the spotlight. Even as he’s tried to quietly settle back into off-course life at his home in Jupiter, Florida, the reality is that he won’t remain there for a long period of full-time residence with his wife and daughter. Read on to find out why.

While Rory McIlroy’s career continues to reach new heights – his 2026 Masters Tournament win marked his sixth major championship and a second consecutive green jacket – his personal life has been under increased scrutiny in recent years. Much of that attention centers on his marriage to Erica Stoll, whom he met in 2012 and later married in 2017 after meeting through the PGA of America.

In 2024, McIlroy filed a shocking divorce request with the courts as he cited irreconcilable differences, though he later revoked the divorce filing just a few weeks after submitting it. Despite claims of a reconciliation, the divorce filing itself did little to quiet allegations of cheating by McIlroy with CBS reporter Amanda Balionis. Divorce rumors resurfaced during the 2026 Masters, fueled by the couple’s history of a rocky connection and amplified media attention on McIlroy as he has achieved success in his career. However, the young family – the couple accompanied by their daughter, Poppy – appeared to present a united front at Augusta National this year. The image of family unity served as a reminder that, despite persistent rumors, the couple remains together. That is, at least, until they touched down in Florida following the Masters Tournament last weekend.

It is unlikely that the family will remain long in their Jupiter, FL home as they made it known in 2025 that they’d primarily relocated to their Wentworth home in the United Kingdom, according to Yahoo! Sports. Some speculation has swirled around the fact that both the Florida home and the UK home have been referred to as “home base” by the golfer and his wife in recent months, meaning that it’s possible one spouse could be living in one mansion while the other is across the pond. Of course, the family is known for having a very private personal life so there’s no way to know for sure, but what is certain is that they won’t stay in Florida for long after touching down in their jet following their time at Augusta National just a few days prior.
