Entering his 16th MLB season, Trout is looking to redeem himself after several injury ridden seasons. His 2026 campaign is already off to an impressive start.
In a much anticipated series against the New York Yankees, Mike Trout has put on a show throughout the past four days.
In the top of the seventh of Thursday’s afternoon game, Trout launched his fifth home run in four consecutive days at Yankee Stadium. The first time in MLB history that an opposing player has achieved that feat.
Trout’s solo blast bumps the Angels lead to 7-4 heading into the bottom of the seventh as they look to avoid a series loss against the Yankees. Trout is 1-2 with a home run and two walks.
Despite having only won on Tuesday, the Angels have delivered an offensive masterclass. In their first three games against the Yankees, the Angels knocked 31 hits, 21 runs, and ten home runs.

Mike Trout And Aaron Judge Show Respect During Home Run Battle
Two undisputed legends, Mike Trout and Aaron Judge put on a show for the fans in the Angels-Yankees series opener.
On a night that Judge homered twice, Trout blasted a two-run home run in the top of the eighth to take the lead 10-8. Both Judge and Trout however, couldn’t hide their mutual respect for the other three-time MVP.
Later that night, Judge spoke in a postgame interview calling Trout the “greatest of all-time”.
Angels reporter Rhett Bollinger tweeted that Trout made sure to share his respect for the former MVP in a postgame interview after Tuesday’s game:
“I’m a big fan of Aaron Judge,” Trout said. “He’s a great player. The last few years, it’s been unbelievable what he’s done. And I’ve got to know him a little bit.”
