San Francisco Giants Still Owe Struggling Player Over $200 Million

On Wednesday night, the San Francisco Giants played the Cincinnati Reds in Ohio.

The Giants lost by a score of 8-3.

Rafael Devers finished the game with two hits, one run and one strikeout in four at-bats.

Despite his two hits, Devers has been struggling since getting traded to the Giants.

He is currently batting .229 with two home runs, six RBI’s, seven runs and 21 strikeouts in 18 games.

It’s worth noting that Devers is still owed over $200 million by the Giants.

Devers spent the first eight and a half seasons of his MLB career playing for the Boston Red Sox.

In that span, he batted .279 with 215 home runs, 696 RBI’s, 663 runs and 33 stolen bases in 1,053 games.

The 29-year-old made three All-Star Games (and helped lead the Red Sox to the 2018 World Series Championship).
