During the Knicks’ final stretch of the 2025-2026 regular season, Anunoby twisted his ankle in a Friday victory over the Toronto Raptors.

When the Knicks approached their Sunday action against the Charlotte Hornets, they ruled Anunoby out, along with a handful of other core players.

While the chances of Anunoby playing in the finale were going to be low no matter what, his presence on the injury report was slightly more concerning, considering he was dealing with an actual ailment.

When Anunoby checked out of the April 10 matchup against the Toronto Raptors, the forward had just 15 minutes played. He shot 1-4 from the field, scoring two points. Anunoby also came down with five rebounds and produced three assists.
