After taking down Alexander Zverev 6-1,6-4, Jannik Sinner punched his ticket to the 2026 Monte-Carlo Masters final, where he’ll face none other than Carlos Alcaraz on April 12.
The blockbuster matchup is the first Sinner (No. 2) vs. Alcaraz (No. 1) matchup of the year. If Sinner defeats Alcaraz, he’ll usurp the title of the world’s No.1-ranked male tennis player. The Italian star is fresh off winning the “Sunshine Double,” claiming titles at Indian Wells and the Miami Open.
“I’m looking forward to it. These matches are what I practice for, why I wake up. It’s great to have at least one match before Roland Garros against him. At the same time, I have nothing to lose,” Sinner said of facing the 22-year-old Spanish phenom.

“Coming here and making the final means a lot to me, so of course I will try to push as much as I can tomorrow on the last day. Now the most important thing is to rest. It was a good performance from my side, and tomorrow is going to be a tough one.”
While Sinner is 6-10 against Alcaraz, he enters the final on a 21-match winning streak at the Masters 1000 level. Helping cheer Sinner on in front of a home crowd at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, his girlfriend, Laila Hasanovic.
Jannik Sinner’s Girlfriend Laila Hasanoivc Didn’t Shy Away From Cameras at the Monte-Carlo Masters
While Sinner and Hasanovic keep their romance out of the spotlight, the Danish model proudly supported her boyfriend in Monaco. Fans love to see Hasanovic’s match-day outfits and spot her in the crowd.
In between matches, she’s spending time with friends and cuddling with her dog, Snoopy, who travels with her everywhere.
The fashion influencer can’t make it to all of Sinner’s matches. She missed his big win at the Miami Open as she was celebrating the launch of her self-tanner line in Copenhagen. However, she sent a subtle love message from afar.
Hasanovic is likely staying at Sinner’s home as the 24-year-old moved to Monte Carlo in 2020. Fans can expect to see Hasanovic at Court Rainier III when he takes on Alcaraz.

While fans were quick to link Sinner to Laila Hasanovic last year after she attended numerous of his matches, the four-time Grand Slam champion initially shut down relationship rumors.
“There’s a lot of attention,” said Sinner during a press conference during the Italian Open in May 2025. “Also, off the court, I was surprised to see some pictures, which, nothing serious. I’m not in a relationship!”
In September, a fan video appeared to show Sinner’s phone, featuring a photo of Hasanovic as his screensaver at the U.S. Open. Ahead of the tournament, he told Corriere della Sera that he was in love, “but we don’t talk about our private life.”
Sinner finally confirmed they were dating after winning his second Vienna Open title in October. “Everyone here — my family, girlfriend, friends,” Jannik told the crowd as the camera panned to his box. “My whole team, also watching at home, thank you so much for the support.”
