Alabama Hit With Major Injury Scare as Key WR Carted Off During A-Day

Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide football team suffered a scare on Saturday during the 2026 A-Day on Saturday afternoon inside Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Wide receiver Noah Rogers was carted off the field during the scrimmage after suffering a lower-body injury.

Rogers, a key transfer addition expected to play a major role in Alabama’s offense, went down early in the scrimmage after attempting to make a play on an incomplete pass. What initially looked like a routine football moment quickly turned concerning as Rogers remained on the ground and required assistance from trainers.

According to multiple reports, Rogers was unable to put weight on his left leg and was eventually taken to the locker room on a cart with a brace on the injured area.

Kalen DeBoer Provides Update

Following the scrimmage, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer addressed the situation but did not have a definitive diagnosis.

“He will have to get evaluated… We’ll kind of see what that looks like,” DeBoer said. “He will go get the MRI… and we’ll have more information as we go through the spring and summer.”

The MRI will determine the severity of the injury and provide a clearer timeline for Rogers’ potential return.

Who Is Noah Rogers?

Rogers was widely viewed as one of the most important offseason additions for Alabama after transferring from NC State. The 6-foot-2 receiver had been generating significant buzz throughout spring practice and was trending toward a starting role in 2026.

In two seasons with the Wolfpack, Rogers totaled 919 receiving yards and showed the ability to stretch the field and make contested catches.

What Noah Rogers’ Injury Means for Alabama

This is potentially a significant blow to the Alabama wide receiver room, as Rogers was well on his way to becoming WR3 behind Ryan Coleman-Williams and Lotzier Brooks.

Now, Alabama may have to rely on younger guys such as Derek Meadows, Cederian Morgan, and Rico Scott to fill the void that could be left by Rogers.
