The rumors surrounding Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown have become a saga this offseason. Still, they march on, with the continued rumor being that he will eventually be traded to the New England Patriots.
Plenty of Patriots fans are excited about the idea of getting Brown to New England. One of those fans is actually a former player who became a legend at wide receiver in New England, Julian Edelman.
Recently, Edelman gave an interview to Patriots Wire. There, he admitted how excited the prospect of bringing in a star like Brown makes him.
“I’d like to see A.J. Brown in a Patriots uniform,” Edelman said.
As it stands now, there is a bit of a stalemate in negotiations. It’s been reported that the Eagles and the Patriots aren’t currently on the same page. Philadelphia wants a first-round package in return, but New England has something closer to a second-round package in mind. Despite that, it’s also been reported that executives from around the NFL still expect Brown to land in New England this June, when it lessens the salary cap hit on the Eagles.
Julian Edelman Referenced a Cryptic Post He Made About A.J. Brown

A few weeks ago, A.J. Brown appeared on Julian Edelman’s Dudes on Dudes podcast. In an effort to promote the podcast, Edelman posted a gif from the episode. In it, he is saying, “We are all Patriots.” The gif then cuts to Brown, who winks at the camera.
The obvious implication is that the two of them knew something the general public didn’t. However, it’s still been quiet since then on the Brown trade front.
Edelman also addressed this kind of cryptic post, and the podcast appearance on the whole, explaining that they’re on a telekinetic wavelength together. Again, the implication is that they’re on the same page and Brown wants to be in New England.
